This Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to the Bharat Tiffin platform, a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution provided to tiffin service businesses (referred to as "tenants"). This policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding cancellations and refunds for subscription payments made to Bharat Tiffin.

2. Scope of Policy

It is important to understand that Bharat Tiffin is a software platform provider and does not directly handle end-customer transactions, food delivery, or related services. This policy applies exclusively to the subscription relationship between Bharat Tiffin and its tenants (tiffin service businesses).

Please Note: For end-customers seeking refunds or cancellations for food orders, please contact the specific tiffin service business directly. Bharat Tiffin does not process or manage refunds for food orders or services provided by individual tiffin businesses.

3. Subscription Cancellation

Tenants may cancel their subscription to the Bharat Tiffin platform at any time through the following methods:

  • Through the account settings in the admin dashboard
  • By contacting our support team at support@bharattiffin.com

Upon cancellation:

  • Access to the platform will continue until the end of the current billing cycle
  • No additional charges will be applied after the current billing cycle ends
  • Tenant data will be retained for 30 days after the subscription ends, after which it may be permanently deleted

4. Refund Eligibility

As a SaaS platform, Bharat Tiffin subscription payments are generally non-refundable. However, refunds may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Service Unavailability: If the Bharat Tiffin platform experiences significant downtime (exceeding 24 consecutive hours) not caused by scheduled maintenance or force majeure events
  • Billing Errors: If a tenant is erroneously charged multiple times for the same subscription period
  • Service Termination: If Bharat Tiffin permanently discontinues its services

5. Refund Process

To request a refund under the eligible circumstances mentioned above:

  1. Contact our support team at support@bharattiffin.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
  2. Provide your account details and the specific reason for the refund request
  3. Include any relevant documentation or evidence supporting your request

All refund requests will be reviewed within 5-7 business days. If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the subscription.

6. Prorated Refunds

In cases where a refund is approved for an ongoing subscription period, the refund amount will be calculated on a prorated basis for the unused portion of the subscription period.

7. Trial Period

If Bharat Tiffin offers a free trial period, no refund will be applicable as no payment is collected during this period. Tenants are responsible for canceling their subscription before the trial period ends if they do not wish to continue with the paid service.

8. Tenant Responsibilities

Tenants (tiffin service businesses) using the Bharat Tiffin platform are solely responsible for:

  • Setting and enforcing their own refund and cancellation policies for their end-customers
  • Processing refunds for their customers through their own payment systems
  • Handling all customer service inquiries related to food orders, delivery, and quality

Bharat Tiffin does not intervene in disputes between tenants and their customers.

9. Changes to This Policy

Bharat Tiffin reserves the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Tenants will be notified of significant changes via email or through the platform.
